The Pump Box Under The Front Seat Cushions And Footboard

Looking directly down into the pump box clearly shows the kerosene piston pump and the reciprocating arm that operates the four pumps in the pump box.  Not as easily seen are the two water pumps and the steam cylinder oil pump.  The valve handle between the black pilot tank and copper steam cylinder oil tank is the kerosene fuel supply shut-off valve.  If the pressure needs to be bled off of the kerosene fuel service tanks the second valve handle at the lower right can be opened to return fuel under pressure to the kerosene supply tank which is always maintained at atmospheric pressure.  The white insulated line in the photograph is the main water supply from the two water pumps to the boiler.
