As Purchased Condition Of The Car

Front Right Axle, Wheel, and Speedometer Gear

The Timken front axle and Warner Steering rod are showing dried grease and dirt everywhere.  The circular pole exiting the photo at the top left is called a “perch-pole”.  The front axle and rear axle of the car are held parallel to each other with a pair of Ash poles.  Just above the perch-pole is the lower leaf spring unit making up the right front semi-elliptical spring suspension for the car.  The ring gear on the wheel hub is for the speedometer.  Missing is the speedometer swivel that mates to the ring gear and the flexible housing to the Warner speedometer.
