The superheater ring and superheater piping is assembled for a fit check.  The openings around the perimeter of the superheater ring permit the various boiler blow-down pipes to be connected to the bottom of the boiler.  Once the ring is in place a custom shield is mounted to the inner ring to protect the piping and insulation from direct exposure to the heat.
