As Purchased Condition Of The Car

Fuel, Water, And Steam Piping – Left Rear Boiler Area

The photograph speaks for itself in the overall condition of things.  The added wiring was part of the turn signals and dash lights that Marvin Klair added.  The steering column is seen coming through the firewall and connecting to the steering gear.  The circular heat sink fins in the center of the photo are part of the boiler water level indicating system.  The large brass T-topped valve assembly in the center of the photo is the steam automatic which shuts down the burner when the boiler pressure reaches 550 PSIG.  The various valve handles are for blow-downs, the steam siphon, the steam enema (for cleaning out the burner vaporizer), and for fuel control.
