of the early Stanley steam carriage design. They were assigned to either Locomobile or the Stanley Automobile Company (Locomobile holding company) as part of the sale agreement. The Stanley's would eventually buy these patents (and those of Whitney) back when they purchased the steam carriage assets of Locomobile company in 1906. |
